Paul SIMONIN

As the President and Founder of SWIFT, I lead a passionate team dedicated to bridging academic knowledge and practical finance experience for students at Sungkyunkwan University. My role involves:

- Leadership & Vision: Developed the concept and strategic direction for SWIFT, aiming to create a vibrant finance community accessible to all students.
- Team Building: Recruited and managed a diverse team of over twenty active members with backgrounds in M&A, corporate finance, retail banking, and alternative asset management.
- Program Development: Designed and implemented initiatives such as financial newsletters, real-time company analysis, and collaboration with industry partners to provide members with hands-on experience.
- Event Coordination: Organized conferences, competitions, and networking events to connect members with industry professionals and foster valuable learning opportunities.
- Academic & Professional Excellence: Guided the club towards achieving a blend of high academic standards and professional growth, supporting members in their pursuit of excellence in the finance sector.
- Partnership Management: Established relationships with industry partners to enhance the club’s offerings and provide real-world financial tasks and insights to our members.

Through SWIFT, I strive to empower students by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to succeed in the dynamic field of finance.

- Supported the process in structuring AXA IM Alts’ answers to Requests for Proposals (‘RFPs with a total amount of €0.5bn) and a hundred of due diligence questionnaires (DDQ) and quantitative reports, from kick-off to pitch preparation. Contribute to the production of high quality content on Alts’ expertise overall and for clients.

- Assigned to three real estate funds ranging from 1 to 6 billion euros of assets under management in different sectors and on Pan-European region to complete various request from clients and prospects

- Worked closely with a wide range of stakeholders/subject matter experts of AXA IM Real Assets, SFD
(Structured Finance Department) such as portfolio managers, structuration, middle office, etc.. and made proposals to define and produce a summary of the activity KPIs in their historical version creating an
optimised new dashboard covering our three funds (Fund Fact, legal, ESG, quarterly performances and sinceinception, Exposure, GAV / NAV (asset value), asset summary, capital commitment, debt analysis, etc.)

As a Business analyst for the retail financing development branch of Credit Agricole Centre Est, my tasks were as follows:

- Analysis of management needs not covered by the current system.
- Helping to complete the system for monitoring the domain's activity.
- Monitor the development of changes and qualify the results.
- Making proposals to define and produce a summary of activity KPIs.
- Carrying out ad hoc analyses of market trends, the development of certain or customer satisfaction.

I realise more than twenty missions for that branch concerning all the data analysis and optimisation that were very useful for the end of the year and for the next one.

- Participating in the very first ScholarSenate Conference at IE University
- Creation of a BDE list for the Ecully campus
- Setting up of the very first BBA BDE in Lyon
- Management of a team of 15 people around the organisation of festive, CSR and other events, communication and networking with local brands

- Gathering data around social networks
- Weekly reports on the progress of their development
- Advice for the communication team
