Le BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur) avec la qualification « surveillant de baignade » forme des animateurs capables d'encadrer des activités pour enfants et adolescents, tout en assurant leur sécurité lors des baignades. Cette formation se déroule en trois étapes : une session théorique, un stage pratique et une session d’approfondissement ou de qualification, comme celle de surveillant de baignade. Cette qualification spécifique permet de surveiller et animer les activités aquatiques, en garantissant le respect des règles de sécurité et la prévention des risques liés à l’eau.
