Along with the main founder of the association, SWIFT aims at gathering and garnering students (both Korean and international) keen on enhancing their financial abilities:
- Creation and publication of educative content: official newsletter (summarizing the week's major news in finance and major industries), posts explaining key financial terms and ratios, and quotes from economists and investors.
- Pitchbook projects: in-deep analysis of specific industries, gathering of general market data (performance, competitors, trends), financial analysis of major deals occurring (M&A deals, PE investments).
- Hosting of conferences and events: conferences aimed at developing the Alumni network for students looking for internships in finance, hosting of competitive games in specific finance industries (M&A competitions, investment portfolio analysis and rendering).
- Participating in competitions: currently participating in the 2025 CFA Society Korea's Research Challenge, a competition incorporating 16 universities, 25 teams, and more than 100 students coming from the most prestigious Korean universities.

As the first intern inside the FP&A, fixed asset accounting and M&A departments of SES Satellites in Europe, I have completed a 4-month internship occurring in one of the biggest companies and market leaders in providing telecommunications and satellite services for network connectivity in Europe. My main missions during this internship will be:
• Reporting of documents related to all the operations made by the company for its fixed assets: asset sales, transfers, impairment, flow movement, inventory obsolescence, and review of accounts.
• Financial and M&A modelling: conducted SES Satellite’s acquisition of Intelsat (€ 2.8 billion) through the completion of an LBO deal by determining major financial indicators (WACC, EV, interest payments, subordinated debt, IRR, Equity Value, post-tax cost of debt), construction of DCF models for the evaluation of the firm’s acquisitions, evaluating of key financial indicators, with a total debt leveraged at € 235 million after deduction from the firm value and the minority net payments.
• Automating and testing of the different implementations of fixed assets reporting and inventory management by using Microsoft Excel (VBA) and Python. Improved assets reporting on daily activities by 30%, fixed reporting inaccuracies by roughly 35%.

A two and half months internship experience that had begun from the 22th of May in a certified accounting and audit firm which provides financial services to small, medium and large firms. I had the chance to work with the team direction to:
• Analyse balance sheets, get the best decisions for companies, as well as doing data analysis for future forecasts (with Excel, SQL, Python and Julia).
• I was also charged in completing monthly accounting entries (such as bills, invoices) for companies, accounts review for monthly reports and finally doing tax reviews and declarations for companies but also individuals.
