Résumé
Trilingual. 12 years in subsidiaries of multinational groups across 4 countries outside of France, 20 years of export business development to 30 countries, both in mature and emerging geographies, and 18 years of management committee experience. Managed the marketing and sales development of 40 global and regional food brands, both in retail (30 years) and food service channels (20 years), with budgets ranging from €5M to €18M. Managed multicultural teams between 8 and 35 people and cross-functional projects, for 5 multinationals, family-owned mid-caps and under LBO, with sales between €40M and €600M. I most appreciate building the strategic vision of the company and working closely with all functions within the management committee to successfully execute it. In addition, I enjoy building and leading dedicated Sales & Marketing teams to do so. I have a proven track record in building sound business plans and their associated P&Ls to deliver incremental growth. Doing so allowed me to look at the business from a global perspective and to best understand how to lead change and transform the organization, and to create financial and CSR company value. In France, Germany, Spain, Singapore and the Philippines, with existing and new company brands, with private labels, and with the right sales & marketing investment decisions, I developed and executed sound go-to-market plans paving the way to new channels, customers, geographies and categories, hence generating profitable and long-lasting business development. I built meaningful and sustainable, existing and new brands to fuel growth. To do so, I also took some bold investment decisions across 8 new communication platforms and over 30 innovative and impactful 360° & media plans and trade marketing campaigns, prioritizing investments between TV media, online, social and CRM. This helped me grow my ability to prioritize investments between sales and marketing, and to maximize impact on sales and margins. I also successfully launched 6 breakthrough innovations with functional and sensory benefits around healthy and nutritious eating, indulgence and care for the environment. I positioned myself and my organizations as experts in alternatives to fresh cow’s milk products, such as pioneering goat’s milk dairy products and plant-based cheeses. As such, I am known as someone who creates value in the on-going food transition and through CSR initiatives, leveraging through the process my strategic vision and analytical skills to spot valuable insights.
Expériences professionnelles
Chief marketing officer germany (700 employees - local team of 35 - 13 brands)
SAVENCIA Fromage & Dairy Deutschland - Groupe Savencia
De Avril 2023 à Octobre 2024
As company market leadership in Germany is decreasing and its results are under pressure in a highly competitive market, I led the turnaround of brands' performance and P&L. I engaged the management committee and my teams, strongly increased brands strategy focus and prioritized resources.
TURNED AROUND THE BUSINESS BY MOBILIZING AND FOCUSING MARKETING TALENTS : reorganized and focused the team on our 4 strategic brands. Managed 15 promotions, recruitments and separations. Engaged the team with an ambitious training plan on leadership, digital transformation and CSR.
BUILT A 3/6/9-YEAR BUSINESS PLAN TO STRENGTHEN THE LEAD IN THE RETAIL CHEESE CATEGORY: developed and executed the new 3/6/9-year company transformation strategy, in close collaboration with the management committee and the teams, to regain leadership both in terms of vision and financial & CSR value creation. Built the business and the action plan, in order to boost P&L and extra-financial, sustainable value for our brands. Managed a Revenue Growth Management project to reset brands' product portfolio and generate significant financial gains.
CONSOLIDATED AND INCREASED BRAND VALUE: with retail prices crossing critical thresholds and private labels over 60% market share, I prioritized the media, social and CRM budget towards the highest-priority brands in order to turn them around and boost them. Capitalized on value-added market trends: launched Géramont with Skyr rich in proteins, accelerated Bresso plant-based innovations and led the test market for Hope, a new vegan brand.
Marketing & business development director (3400 employees - team of 8 - 4 brands - 5 countries)
LABEYRIE FINE FOODS
De Janvier 2020 à Janvier 2023
As management committee member of the business unit in charge of food service & private labels (for retail, freezer centers and organic stores chains), I added strategic and business development value with my experience of end-users, focusing on chefs and consumers, and enhanced commercial plans. I became the architect of value growth marketing strategies by channel.
RESET THE FOOD SERVICE STRATEGY AROUND CHEFS' NEEDS & RETRAINED THE TEAM: as Chefs got real cautious about their margins, I focused our growth plans on new marketing and sales segments by customer targets (salad bars, traditional restaurants, bistronomy...) and by type of use (salads, fine tapas boards, hot dishes...). I calculated the costs per portion to demonstrate the value of our offers. I used online trade media and trade fairs to target both distributors (Metro) and end-clients.
LAUNCHED INNOVATIONS THAT INSPIRE CHEFS: to accelerate the value-added plant-based transformation of menus, I created the "Inspire" brand, the most inspiring range of trendy plant-based solutions for accessible and practical creativity. I also launched the first duck meat patty for burgers, a low-carbon, hedonistic alternative to beef patties.
CAPTURED MOST PROFITABLE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN RETAIL PRIVATE LABELS (PL): in order to ensure complementary with the company's in-house brands business, I created the 1st Private Label strategic plan with a multifunctional project group. I differentiated product and CSR value attributes between in-house brands and private labels for each market. I expanded plant-based spreads business to new channels, and launched our 1st deep-frozen plant-based innovation at Picard
